When the unit—not the battery—is due
Smoke Detector Replacement in North Metro Denver
Smoke alarms do not last forever. Detector Inspectors replaces hardwired smoke alarms that have reached end of life, failed testing or show clear age-related condition issues.
The ten-year rule
NFPA and CPSC guidance says smoke alarms should be replaced when they are ten years old. Check the date on the back of each unit rather than estimating from when you moved in. If you cannot establish the age, inspection is the safe next step.
Published replacement price
The published price is $65 per hardwired smoke detector. It includes the First Alert SM105-AC specified by Detector Inspectors, parts and labor. That model is hardwired, interconnect capable and uses a 10-year sealed backup battery.
Replace compatible systems thoughtfully
Interconnected systems depend on compatible units and correct installation. A replacement is not just a matter of matching the round shape on the ceiling. Jayson checks the existing setup and explains the planned replacement before work proceeds.
